2021 SPMA Congress Registration

Registration will open in April.

2021 Registration Fees

  • Ordinary SPMA Member £25
  • Young/Student/Unwaged SPMA Member £15
  • Non-member (waged) £40
  • Non-member (student/unwaged) £25

Registration brings access to live online conference discussions and workshops, as well as a ‘virtual conference tote bag’ featuring a selection of SPMA publications and other special offers.

2021 Bursary Donation Programme

  • Optional Additional Bursary Donation £25

SPMA recognises that the COVID pandemic has led to significant financial hardship for many archaeologists.   While we have deliberately kept the online conference registrations fees low, we invite colleagues who are currently more financially secure to consider making an additional donation of £25 on top of their registration fee in order to support a conference bursary programme.

The proceeds from the bursary donations will be used to fund a bursary programme which will cover the registration fees of colleagues who otherwise might not be able to attend.

Colleagues experiencing financial hardship who wish to apply for bursary support to cover their registration should e-mail and simply state they are applying for a bursary.  There is no need to outline your specific circumstances.  We will operate the system on the basis of trust and confidentiality.  Bursaries are available to colleagues at all career stages.

SPMA commits to cover the cost of the first 10 bursary applications on a first-come, first-served basis regardless of the number of bursary donations.   SPMA will cover additional bursary applications (again on a first-come, first-served basis) as funds from bursary donations permit.

If SPMA receives more bursary donations than applications for bursary support, the additional funds will be used to support our plans to increase student support and expand our equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives over the coming year.
